Delete Account

You can request deletion of your CellarWise account and associated data from the app or by emailing support if you cannot access the app.

Delete your account in the app

Open CellarWise, go to Profile, then choose Delete Account.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email us from the email address on your CellarWise account: support@cellarwise.app.

Please include:

  • Your account email address
  • Your display name, if available
  • The statement: “Please delete my CellarWise account and associated data.”

What CellarWise deletes

After verifying the request, we will delete or de-identify CellarWise-controlled data associated with your account, including:

  • Your Firebase Authentication account
  • Your users/{uid} profile record
  • Your bottles, cellars, preferences, usage data, and CellarWise-stored subscription status
  • Your scan match records and label images where practical

What may be retained

Some information may be retained when deletion is not controlled by CellarWise or when retention is required, including:

  • Google Play and RevenueCat billing records retained for billing, tax, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes
  • Legal, security, fraud-prevention, audit, or operational logs where required
  • De-identified or aggregated data that no longer identifies your account
  • Shared wine catalog entries, de-identified where appropriate

Verification and timing

To protect your account, support may require you to verify control of the account email address before processing deletion. Verified deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Subscriptions

Deleting your CellarWise account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. To stop future billing, cancel your subscription in Google Play.
